Our school curriculum ensures continuity from the Creche, and the emphasis moves further towards the children becoming more independent and reflective learners.
Practical science lessons enable the children to hone the skills of planning, prediction and investigation, as well more formal recording of experiments and results. From Year 6, these lessons take place in the Primary School Science Labs which provides much excitement and further enthusiasm amongst the pupils for this fundamental subject.
From Year 7, Computer Science is started more formally, introducing languages such as ‘Scratch’ and ‘Small Basic’ and pupils also experience English and Hausa in addition to the native they have already begun.
Competitive sport begins in the primary, with pupils getting the opportunity to play football, and athletics and cultural dancing on a weekly basis up to and including Year 6.
Thinking Skills and Personal Social and Health Education lessons continue to build on previous learning.
